Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi → Masai Mara Game Reserve (Kenya)

Your adventure begins with a morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta Airport.
Travel through the Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara, Kenya’s most famous reserve.

Arrive in time for lunch and then set out on your first evening game drive across the golden plains.

Here, you’ll meet Africa’s greatest wildlife: lions, elephants, buffalo, giraffes, and possibly leopards lurking in the trees.

From July to October, witness the Great Wildebeest Migration — nature’s most dramatic spectacle.

Meals: Lunch, Dinner
Accommodation Options:

  • Luxury: Mara Serena Safari Lodge / Ashnil Mara Camp

  • Mid-Range: Mara Sopa Lodge / Sentrim Mara Camp

  • Budget: Miti Mingi Eco Camp

Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive in Masai Mara

Spend a full day exploring the Masai Mara, often called “Africa’s Kingdom of Big Cats.”

Early morning, enjoy the soft light of dawn — perfect for photography — as you track prides of lions, cheetahs on the hunt, and elephants grazing peacefully.

Optional: Take a hot air balloon safari at sunrise, followed by a champagne breakfast in the bush (extra cost).

Your guide will lead you to the Mara River, where crocodiles and hippos live year-round and where the Great Migration crossings happen.

Return to your lodge for dinner, sharing stories by the campfire under the stars.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 3: Masai Mara → Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, depart the Mara and travel south toward Amboseli National Park, near the Tanzania border.

Arrive in the afternoon, with stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro rising behind the plains.

Amboseli is famous for its massive elephant herds, often seen moving gracefully across dusty plains with Kilimanjaro’s snowy peaks in the background — one of Africa’s most iconic scenes.

Enjoy an afternoon game drive to spot lions, cheetahs, wildebeests, and hundreds of bird species.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Accommodation Options:

  • Luxury: Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge

  • Mid-Range: Kibo Safari Camp

  • Budget: AA Amboseli Lodge

Day 4: Amboseli → Serengeti National Park (via Namanga Border)

After breakfast, drive to the Namanga border and cross into Tanzania (visa & border formalities handled by your guide).

Continue through Arusha and into the vast plains of the Serengeti National Park — Tanzania’s most iconic and wildlife-rich reserve.

As you enter the Serengeti, herds of wildebeests and zebras stretch to the horizon. The air is alive with bird calls and the thrill of wild Africa.

Enjoy an evening game drive en route to your camp, spotting predators as the sun dips below the savanna.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Accommodation Options:

  • Luxury: Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge

  • Mid-Range: Tanzania Bush Camp / Heritage Camp

  • Budget: Seronera Campsite

Day 5: Full-Day Safari in Serengeti National Park

Spend the entire day exploring the Serengeti, whose name means “endless plains.”

Morning and afternoon game drives bring you face-to-face with Africa’s greatest wildlife — from majestic lions and cheetahs to elephants, giraffes, and wildebeests.

If traveling during migration season (June–October), witness millions of animals moving in search of fresh grazing — a spectacle unmatched anywhere on Earth.

Optional: Visit a Maasai Boma on the Serengeti’s outskirts to experience Tanzania’s Maasai culture.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 6: Serengeti → Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, arriving at the crater’s rim in time for lunch with breathtaking views.

Descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, often called “Africa’s Eden.”

This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to a dense population of wildlife, including black rhinos, lions, hippos, flamingos, and countless gazelles.

Enjoy a picnic lunch beside the hippo pools before ascending to the crater rim for dinner and overnight.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Accommodation Options:

  • Luxury: Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge

  • Mid-Range: Rhino Lodge

  • Budget: Simba Campsite

Day 7: Ngorongoro → Arusha / Nairobi
